Roman Road – Ingatestone.
This garden had already been designed by a member of the client’s family, but they wanted us to create the garden following their specifications.
We gave them advice on the best way to build the walls and how to seal the water features.
They had a small river as a water feature so we built a recess to go around it. The water was pumped into a basin and using a sump pump — often used to get rid of flooding in basements — the water was pumped back underground to start again.
At the bottom of the garden, we laid sandstone slabs, while the patio and steps leading up to it the house were porcelain.
The lawn was laid with artificial grass and the pathways surrounding it were gravel. We put down a gravel stabilisation mat first to reduce the weed growth and keep the gravel on the pathways.
For this build we used: Porcelain tiles for the main patio, Kandla Grey Sandstone, gravel with stabilisation mats, 40mm Artificial Lawn and Block walls which were rendered and painted white.

Scott has just completed our decking for our back garden and it’s absolutely perfect! The quality of materials that are used are great and he has made our garden a pleasure to be in. I can’t thank him enough!
